Hudson's is your one stop, full service estate liquidation company
We conduct on-site estate sales and warehouse (consignment) sales to maximize the value of estate contents while minimizing the efforts of the family, executor, or beneficiary. See our Services page for detailed info regarding estate liquidation methods. Our approach to estate liquidation leaves the residence ready for sale or rent in a timely manner after generating maximum revenue for the beneficiaries.
Our reputation for honesty and flexibility as estate liquidators, is well known throughout the Bay Area.
With over 52 years of combined experience in the business, Rick Hudson and Ben Sawtelle use their knowledge and understanding of the business to satisfy the needs of anyone dealing with an estate.
The following are different services we provide.
On site estate sales
When conducting "on site sales", Hudson's will use the location in which the property is stored, usually a residence. Advertising, arranging/ displaying, appraising, and selling the entire estate contents, remains the responsibility of Hudson's. A reasonable percentage will be earned (usually 30-35%) for services rendered. Depending on location and contents, this method of estate liquidation generally realizes the maximum return for the consignor.
Estate consignment
If for some reason an on site sale is not possible, Hudson's will transport the estate contents from the residence to our showroom/warehouse for a special 2 day estate liquidation sale. Click here for information about the next warehouse sale.
Estate clean outs
A service provided, usually to prepare a residence for the Real Estate market. This service includes, removal of debris, and a "broom sweep" of residence.
Estate buy outs
If for some reason, an on site estate sale is not possible at a given location, or the estate does not have enough value to take on consignment, Hudson's will purchase the entire contents of the estate: Including items such as, furniture, antiques, jewelry, gold and silver coins, pottery, art, clothing, collectibles, kitchenware, garage contents, automobiles, etc... In a short amount of time, a fair, competitive bid will be offered.
Appraisals
Fair market value appraisals for estate tax purposes are available at a competitive rate. We do not write divorce or insurance appraisals. Contact us for more information.
Whatever your needs are when dealing with estate property, we are here to help. A significant number of references are available upon request. Please let us know if you have any questions, or are in need of our services.
